Winning Appliances is set to woo West Australians against the picturesque backdrop of the Margaret River region by sponsoring an event promoting local West Australian chefs and produce at the Margaret River Gourmet Escape 2014.
‘Farm to Table presented by Winning Appliances’ will champion “our home-grown heroes” and encourage the use of locally sourcing ingredients. The festival program states, “This feature will take you into the hearts and livelihoods of our Australian farmers, highlighting the importance of supporting local and sustainable produce”.
The Winning Group expanded into the Western Australian market when it purchased premium kitchen retailer Rick Hart Kitchen HQ in June 2014.
Winning Appliances is also aligning its promotional efforts with Siemens at the event, which as a title partner, will be centre stage during the three day event which brings together over 40 international and local food and wine specialists including Heston Blumenthal and Rick Stein.
“Over the course of the event, incredible offers will be available on the Siemens home appliance range through Winning Appliances,” Siemens said today in a statement. It is understood that this will involve retail promotions on Siemens products sold through Winning Appliances; and not Siemens selling directly during the show.
Siemens marketing communications manager, Roberto Finamore said Gourmet Escape provided a fantastic platform for Siemens home appliances to discover new and innovative means of cooking and understanding their customers.
“Through Margaret River Gourmet Escape, Siemens can engage with potential customers in an environment which is truly unique, and one which in every aspect exudes the Siemens ideal of ‘a life less ordinary.’ What better way for Siemens to present itself than being part of the incredible scenery that is the Margaret River,” said Finamore.
Siemens will host the ‘Siemens Collaboration Dinner Series’ during the event which will feature food and wine collaborations between Australian and international chefs.
“Specially crafted menus will be complemented with individually chosen wines and fascinating discussions, all values that align with the Siemens motto ‘seek beauty in the everyday’,” the statemrnt from Siemens states.
During the event, guests will get hands on experience with Siemen’s cooktops during masterclasses hosted by ex-Masterchef contestant Josh Catalano. At the ‘Siemens Culinary Classroom’ — made up of twelve Siemens induction cooking stations each with dual cooking capabilities — guests will be invited to partake in a series of seafood inspired cooking classes each day.
“This interactive activation will allow Gourmet Escape visitors to show off their culinary skills and learn from the best, using some of the world’s most technologically advanced cooking appliances,” Siemens said.
Breville is also a major partner of the show and will be presenting an event that encapsulates the brand’s Food Thinkers campaign. Titled Food for Thought by Breville the event is a series of panel discussions lead by Matt Preston and international food critic, AA Gill. Over a “menu of gourmet bites accompanied by matched wines” visitors will be listen to “some of the world’s most knowledgeable and talented food superstars give insight around food trends and tackle topical and controversial food issues,” the Gourmet Escape program states.
Margaret River Gourmet Escape will be held 22–24 November 2014 in the Margaret River wine region, WA.
