Plan in the pipeline.
Winning Appliances currently has 13 stores around the country but is determined to grow its footprint to 20 stores within the next three years.
“This is the next benchmark for the Winning Appliances business and a goal that our team and suppliers can easily understand and build plans around,” CEO, David Woollcott told Appliance Retailer.

“Our plan is for the additional stores to open in the states we currently operate in and we have already determined broad locations for stores of varying sizes. Like Canberra, each store will fit perfectly into its surroundings and reflect the local area.
“We have researched the Australian premium and luxury market and worked to understand where the open points are in a logical way. Most importantly, we receive guidance from our suppliers and partners on where they would want to grow their brands. When there is a good enough fit we can then build a plan to open a store. It isn’t rocket science but does require some detailed thinking and some experience of the Australian market place,” he explained.
When asked about the much-anticipated Fortitude Valley showroom, Woollcott confirmed that it is on track for a soft opening in March. “It will be our flagship for the state and deliver something truly avant-garde, full of expression and high-end design, the antithesis of the big box retail park,” he said.
