Mass merchant retailer Target has lodged a trademark application indicating a change of slogan to a stylised “get more. pay less”. This news was first discovered by the excellent blog ™Watch.

“Target currently has two popularly-known slogans,” ™Watch reported. “In Australia, it has the slogan ‘100% happy‘, while in the States it has the similar ‘expect more. pay less.‘.

“According to Target’s corporate branding page, the latter is the company’s ‘brand promise’.”

Target appliance range includes vacuums, irons, heaters, fans and a wide selection of smalls. Brands include Ronson, Philips, George Foreman, Kambrook, and Target’s tradebrand Essentials.
