Yamaha is expanding its soundbar range with two new models, including its first compact soundbar, the SR-C20A and SR-B20A, featuring a slim profile, simple setup and uncompromising sound for any space or budget with RRPs at $299 and $329 respectively and two-year warranty.
The C20A measures just 60cm in length and 6.4cm in height, ideal for limited spaces such as bedrooms and offices, and can be easily wall mounted.
Sound is delivered from a built-in subwoofer and dual passive radiators – a rare combination for compact soundbars – for increased bass. Further, the range of connection options on the C20A is unique for the compact soundbar category with HDMI ARC, optical and AUX to connect and control the soundbar with the TV remote.
In addition to a virtual surround mode, there are four customisable sound modes – standard, stereo, game and move.
The B20A builds on the success of the YAS-108 with additional enhancements including redesigned dual built-in subwoofers for richer and clearer bass, DTS Virtual:X and a new shape and profile with deep black fabric and larger dimmable LEDs for soundbar functions and adjustments.
Both soundbars feature Clear Voice technology for enhanced dialogue clarity, come with a remote and are supported by the Soundbar Controller app for smartphone control. Alternatively, users can control volume levels, sound modes and input selection on the units themselves.
