Yamaha will roll out a new line of wireless headphones that intelligently adapt and respond to listeners and their environment through proprietary adaptive technologies.
The new range will comprise of eight models ranging from wireless earbuds including true wireless, to active noise cancelling over-ear headphones. All models feature new technology from Yamaha that optimises the listening experience for each person and realises True Sound.
The hero models feature Listening Optimiser that works in real time to make ongoing measurements and subtly adjust if the fit or wearing conditions change to ensure the best sound.
The top-of-the-line YH-E700A wireless noise-cancelling headphones feature Advanced ANC, which goes beyond standard active noise cancelling by incorporating a new proprietary technology from Yamaha.
Unlike typical noise cancelling, which can often ‘colour’ or degrade sound, Advanced ANC analyses and removes background noise while keeping the music signal pure and untouched. Ambient Sound mode allows listeners to stay aware of their surroundings or communicate with others.
Listening Care technology, available on all models, allows listeners to hear full-range sound, from high to low frequencies even at low volume settings, unlike traditional headphones, where low volume listening results in a pronounced reduction to certain frequency ranges.
Select models feature enhanced functionality, which analyses music and background noise in real time to automatically achieve the optimum balance at a listener’s selected volume setting.
All new headphones feature app control in addition to simple controls to make phone calls, activate voice assistant and control music with easy-to-find buttons. Each model offers a carrying case, charging cables and extended battery life between charges. Additional features and accessories vary by model.
Yamaha’s new range of headphones will be available toward the end of 2020 with a two-year manufacturer’s warranty. Pricing will be confirmed closer to the release date.
